Varmennappi MVP progress: building the evidence layer before the reporting layer

Varmennappi is still an MVP. That matters, because too much sustainability software announces polish before the underlying evidence workflow is stable.

Our first product is being built around a simple thesis: claims should resolve to records, dates, sources, and accountable checks. In practice, that means we are focusing first on supplier proofs, time-stamped evidence trails, structured records, and exports that are usable in review and assurance contexts.

What we are not announcing today is a finished compliance suite. We are not claiming complete coverage, automated truth, or one-click certainty. The current stage is narrower and more useful than that: build the evidence layer well enough that teams stop reconstructing proof at the last minute.

This is the direction behind DataSolmu’s work for broader EU reporting, procurement, and accountability workflows. We believe that once the evidence layer works, the reporting layer gets cleaner. Not the other way around.

Teams that want to follow the build or test where the workflow still hurts should contact us. We prefer real friction over flattering assumptions.
